HDBaseT Product Distance Capability Notes

Products based on HDBaseT are based on one of two groups of electronic chips. The HDBaseT-Pro and HDBaseT-Lite groups. Each has different distances over which it can extend HDMI and this also depends on the type of cable used.

HDBaseT-Pro

HDBaseT-Pro products, like our 100m extenders, Multiroom+ (Hybrid 4×2, 4×4 and 8×8) and Modular products make use of HDBaseT “Pro”. HDBaseT “Pro” has the following capabilities:

On Cat5e Cable – 100m for 1080p and 70m for 3D & 4K resolutions.

On Cat6 or Cat7 Cable – 100m for 1080p and 100m for 3D & 4K also.

HDBaseT-Lite

HDBaseT “Lite” is currently only included in our Modular range of products. It is a lesser featured version of the “Pro” electronics. HDBaseT “Lite” has the following capabilities:

On Cat5e Cable – 60m for 1080p and 35m for 3D & 4K resolutions.

On Cat6 or Cat7 Cable – 70m for 1080p and 40m for 3D & 4K also.
